Seafood Shack

"We were on a cross country road trip and stopped at the Seafood Shack on the recommendation of family members who had raved about their hamburger. That's what I ordered and it didn't disappoint! Hot, juicy and generous! My wife chose the salad with a salmon steak, which was also a generous plate, tasty, but the salmon was a bit dry. The server was delightful, as were the other staff members who added to an enjoyable evening. The restaurant itself could use a little attention in terms of appearance, seating comfort, and a good scrub. It was clean, but felt a bit overlooked. We would go there again to try some of their other Seafood offerings!"

"This was amazing! First you seat yourself. Hopefully you get there early. It was really busy when I arrived around 6pm. Eventhough it was busy the service didn't drop off and the food didn't either. The manager worked just as hard as the other workers. She cleaned tabled took orders, and that is something you rarely see these days. My waitress was one of the best I've ever had. She's was on point with everything! The food was great. It was fresh, fast, and cooked and seasoned very well. They give you a great amount of food. The fried pickles as an appetizer can actually be a meal. They were fried and seasoned well. The ranch was a great compliment. The fish po-boy was more than I expected. First it was too much. You get 2 well seasoned fried well catfish filets. You usually get 1 filet with a po-boy. It comes with pickles, lettuce and tomatoes, delicious ! The tartar sauce was great. The buffalo sauce was ok. But this was a great experience! You have to try this place out. You will not be disappointed!"

"The Catfish that they are changing Catfish prices for is not Catfish at all it's swai fish or another kind of fish. I come from out of town on a business trip and wanted some real Catfish. The service was great a good group of young people that was working hard to get the orders out. My only complaint is the fish . it's not right to advertise and charge top dollar for Catfish and then give your customer something cheaper. It's not a mistake people in the area say this restaurant has been doing this for sometime now (Getting over on their customer's) My coworkers and I stay at the hotel right behind there at least a few times a week. We will not be going back and will not recommend it to anyone. Anytime you spend your money you should at least get what you pay for. Soo pissed off."

"A Seafood Feast ! The Seafood Shack was a great find in the Marion Area. I was looking for an alternative to the chain restaurants in the area. I found the Seafood Shack while Googling restaurants in the area. When I arrived at this quaint local spot, it was not quite that busy, and I was seated and served right away. I let the server know that it was my first time at Seasfood Shack and they took their time and helped walk me through the menu. My choices that night started with crispy and tasty fried crab that came with two sauces for dipping. The crab was not too greasy, and the coating was fantastic. My main course was a surf and turf special with Crab Legs and a Ribeye steak. The Crab portion was a healthy size and very filling. The steak was surprisingly good and cooked just the way I asked. The service was great and I received a very good meal at a reasonable price."
